‘RED’ is the horny tale of Rudolph as you’ve never seen him before. Once a legend, hero, and leader of the pack, he now lives alone in a trailer on the outskirts of the North Pole. After watching a documentary charting his fall from grace, a fired up Red decides to make the ultimate comeback and reclaim his spot as the King of Deers. Cue a ‘Rocky’ style montage and heaps of deer gags as we witness the sheer power and determination of the world’s most famous reindeer.
The soundtrack revolves around an 80s inspired rock track complete with big drum fills and screaming guitar solos. After co-writing the lyrics with Ritzy Animation, the music was taken to the next level by lead vocalist Marcello Vieira (based in Portugal) who kindly lent his gritty tones to the project. Sound design adds impact where necessary and combines original vocal punctuations with animal sounds to create Red's voice. We also recorded our very own cockney Santa to spur Red and the team on.
