Deaths of Peck is a fast paced 2D platformer where the only way to win is to die. Players control Peck, a tiny goblin cursed with immortality, on a mission to rescue his captured friends from an orc tower. Each death becomes part of the progression, allowing Peck to return stronger. The game blends time pressure, skill based mechanics, and exploration within a dark yet charming hand drawn world.
Solution
The score reinforces the mood of each environment. In the Orcs’ Kitchen, aggressive rhythms built from kitchen tools create a sense of danger that intensifies as the timer runs down. Goblin Town shifts to a lighter, Celtic inspired mandolin melody that creates a peaceful and charming atmosphere.
