GODIVA celebrates its 100 years of luxurious Belgian chocolate tradition with a campaign looking back and paying homage to the decades passed. From the precious memories of those who enjoyed the chocolate, back to the very beginning of Pierre lovingly making chocolate for his wife. Celebrated via beautiful animation made by The Line and narrated by Leighton Meester.
The soundtrack has been constructed by showcasing music genres through different decades. Made for short scenes without tempo matching and with no core key in hand, ensuring that each scene features bespoke music that best matches its mood while still feeling cohesive as one piece, this was a true challenge. The intro and outro set a cinematic tone, building up to the throwback through the years, with the ending scene providing a cinematic culmination of what GODIVA is today. Sound design supports the visuals with subtle recorded foley sounds, atmospheres and transitions to make sure that the audience is truly part of these scenes.
