Temptation Street
Design Lad
Temptation Street is a short film by Design Lad, exploring how everyday temptations - like cravings, old habits, and persuasive ads - can easily derail us. The idea came to life during a work trip to London, where Design Lad, determined not to spend or indulge, found himself surrounded by irresistible ads and restaurants. In the end, he caved, buying food he didn’t even enjoy, illustrating how difficult it is to stay on course in a world full of temptation.
Temptation Street features a dramatic and uneasy score, creating a tense atmosphere that mirrors the struggle with temptation, while still keeping a slight comedic edge. The sound design plays a key role in bringing the characters to life, giving the junk food an exaggerated, almost cartoonish feel that adds to the playful yet daunting tone of the film.
